This Foundation is named for the late psychiatrist Valentina Vrtikapa, MD,  and  is intended to honor her accomplishments, spirit and dreams.  It was founded by members of her family with the support and initiative of her colleagues and friends.

The Foundation will further advance and support Valentina’s ideas. It will recognize and reward great students from her hometown of Ljubinje, as well as medical students from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
